Professional Development and Individual Courses
UCSF offers several ways to go deeper into AI and Generative AI
- Explore UC's SumTotal course bundle on AI. This includes classes such as the fundamentals of AI & Machine Learning: Metrics & Evaluation and Foundational Data Science Methods. As well as role specific training such as one on AI in Research Administration.
- Take advantage of UCSF's partnership with LinkedIn Learning to access the Generative AI course bundle to learn the core concepts of artificial intelligence and generative AI functionality.
- Access O'Reilly content -- books and online self-paced courses on topics like machine learning, prompt engineering, computer vision and much more more through the UCSF Library.
- UCSF Library maintains a Data Science Education and Training portal where you can find a range of workshops and courses on AI fundamentals and beyond.
- UCSF Library's Data Science and Open Scholarship team also teaches hands-on workshops on programming, machine learning, natural language processing and generative AI. You can find materials from past classes and check out the calendar to register for an upcoming session.
