What we do
The Health AI team combines deep AI, clinical expertise, project management, and health informatics knowledge to address UCSF Health’s highest-priority challenges. Our work spans solution exploration, implementation, development, and ongoing evaluation of AI tools that meaningfully improve care delivery and operations.
For implementation and continuous monitoring of AI tools, the Health AI leverages different tools and platforms, including HIPAC, Epic Nebula, and Salesforce. The team also chairs the UCSF Health AI Oversight committee, which evaluates all AI tools for trustworthiness prior to deployment in the UCSF Health system.
The capabilities that the Health AI team support are: physician and clinician experience, revenue cycle, quality and population health, contact center, and laboratory.
